Background

This collection contains Purdue Pharma internal budget documents for their opioid painkiller OxyContin from 1996 to 2002. These files were collected from the Florida Attorney General’s office after the South Florida Sun-Sentinel and Orlando Sentinel won a lawsuit seeking to make them public. The documents were contributed by Kaiser Health News in 2019. The Opioid Industry Documents Archive (OIDA) received documents with redactions and highlighting; no further modifications were performed or commissioned by OIDA team members.
